The technologies we use

Cookies are small text files that websites send to your computer, or any other device connected to the internet, for unique identification of your browser and to store information or preferences in your browser.

The following types of cookies are present on this website:

First-party cookies essential for the website to function

We use first-party cookies to help optimise the functioning of the website. You can choose to refuse to receive these cookies and disable them by adjusting your browser settings. Please note, however, that without these cookies your user experience may be affected.

Together with the information obtained through cookies, our web servers may keep records of details such as your operating system, type of browser, domain and other system parameters, as well as the language used by your system, and the country and time zone in which your device is located. The web logs may also record information such as the address of the web page from which a link has led you to our website and the IP address of the device you are using to connect to the internet.

In order to check which web servers collect such information, we may place markers known as “web beacons” on our web pages. These are IT instructions that link web pages to specific web servers and their cookies.

Third-party cookies for analysis of web traffic

We may also use third-party web traffic analysis services (web analytics) on this website, such as Coremetrics, Adobe Site Catalyst and/or Google Analytics. The providers of these services use technologies such as cookies, web logs and web beacons to collect information (such as the IP address) and use the information to help us analyse the ways in which our visitors use the website. These service providers may use cookies placed on this website (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and cookies placed on third-party websites (such as Google Ads cookies), or other third-party identifiers, in combination, to analyse visitors to our website. When you visit our website for the first time, a banner about cookies will inform you of the use of these analytics technologies. They will not be used unless you consent to them or continue to use this website. You can change your cookie settings at any time, to consent to or refuse these analytics technologies, by clicking on the cookie management tool below to change your preferences. Changing your cookie preferences may disable certain functionalities of this website, as set out below.

You may deactivate the ability of the web analytics services to analyse your browsing on this site. To find out more about web analytics services and exercise your right to choose in relation to their collection of information on this website:

Third-party advertisement targeting cookies

We may also enter into contracts with third-party advertising agencies that collect IP addresses and other information by using cookies, web logs and web beacons on our websites and in our emails; on the websites and in the emails of third parties; and on our advertisements placed on third-party websites. They use this information to create a profile for you and send you advertisements for products and services appropriate to your interests (including for companies not affiliated to ours). You may see these advertisements on our own and other websites. These measures also help us to manage and track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. When you visit our website for the first time, a banner about cookies will inform you of the use of these marketing technologies. They will not be used unless you consent to them or continue to use this website. You can change your cookie settings at any time.

Third-party cookies intended to improve website interactivity

This website may also include certain third-party services, such as buttons for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, lists of tweets (Twitter) and videos shown on the website (YouTube). You can change your cookie settings at any time, to consent to or refuse these cookies by clicking on the cookie management tool below.

Personalise

Targeted advertising

We may also use third-party platforms, including those operated by social media such as Google, Facebook and Pinterest, to display advertisements focused on your interests. We may convert your email address, telephone number and other information into a unique integer that can be correlated by these third parties with a user of their platform or with other data that they may have received from you. This correlation makes it possible to display advertisements focused on your interests on these platforms. To refuse these advertisements, you should change your preferences by clicking on the cookie management tool below, then deselecting the “targets” setting. These platforms may have their own privacy policies and we strongly suggest that you read them.

  • Our affiliates for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
  • Service providers delivering services for us based on our instructions. We do not permit these service providers to use or disclose the information other than to the extent required to deliver services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. • Other third parties with your consent.

In addition, we and our affiliates, and other service providers, may disclose your personal information (i) if we are asked to do so to comply with a law or court judgment, (ii) to the police or other public authorities, or (iii) when we consider that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent material or financial harm, or as part of an investigation of fraudulent or illegal activity, whether suspected or proven.

We also reserve the right to transfer your personal data in our possession in the event that we sell or transfer all or part of our business or our assets. In the event that such a sale or transfer takes place, we will make every reasonable effort to instruct the assignee to use the personal data you have provided in a way consistent with our Privacy Policy. Following such a sale or transfer, you will be able to contact the body to which we have transferred your personal data for any questions about the processing of the information.
